The Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) offers you this first version of its website, which is a first draft to be followed soon by other versions- we are working on that. Similarly, we seek to enrich and diversify as quickly as possible the proposed sections.

In the meantime here are a few words about the philosophy behind the design of this site.

It is primarily an information space that we offer you; information on Moroccan immigration in particular and immigration issues in general through the current affairs and the daily press review sections, and through the links to various community sites. Also, there will be information on the activity of the Council and on the activities conducted in partnership with many associations, agencies and public or private organizations both in Morocco and in the countries of residence, which will, in practical terms, illustrate the participatory approach of this institution. Finally, the site will include information on Morocco and the dynamics underway in the country.

We want to make this site, gradually, a space for sharing knowledge and well-founded thinking. This is the first objective of the resources and Figures of migration sections that will help uncover unexpected facets of the long history of Moroccan emigration.

It is finally a pluralistic forum for discussion that we want, gradually and with your contribution, to put in place; a space reflecting the radical changes underway in immigration, its growing diversity, pluralism migratory situations and countries of residence, pluralism of points of life and generations, trends and expectations. It is a site which will make it possible to speak ALL languages of immigration.
