Tuesday, 09 December 2014

With the support of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), the Association of Ivorian professionals in Morocco (ASPRIM) held this Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Rabat, a round table on the theme: "the professional Ivorian in Morocco: a player in South-South cooperation."

At the opening of this exchange to which took part Mr. Idrissa Traore, Ivory Coast ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Yves Hervé Assi, president of the ASPRIM, said that "this roundtable is the place to share experiences. It aims to contribute to the dynamics of trade between Morocco and Ivory Coast. "

Speaking at this round table, Driss Ajbali, a leading member of the CCME, assured that "a better organized Diaspora can have an advisory role and more." To this end, Mr. Ajbali presented the Moroccan diaspora which amounts to more than 3 million according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since then, its importance in terms of achievements, allowed its consideration by the authorities of the Kingdom. That said it now has an advisory mission on immigration. This means that this initiative can reach unimagined heights if the will of all is strong, "says the AFP MAG news site.

The meeting was an opportunity to "assess the opportunities available in the field and the possible contribution of professional Ivoirians living in Morocco within the framework of South-South cooperation," reported the same source, adding that the first roundtable of ASPRIM was mainly intended to "start the process of integration, and more, to boost south-South cooperation between Morocco and the Ivory Coast."
