Green March: Opening of the cultural activities in Agadir

The Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) in partnership with the Souss-Massa, opened, Saturday, November the 6th 2015,  the cultural activities commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Green March which will be held until the 8th November in Agadir.

The Wali of Souss-Massa  Ms. Zaineb Adaoui and General Secretary of the CCME, Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, spoke both about the importance of  these cultural and artistic  events for the Moroccans living abroad.

Abdellah Boussouf: the Green March, a source of inspiration for the resolution of disputes

In his speech M.Boussouf,  expressed his pride in seeing the participation of the Moroccan community abroad, foreign artists, and  the mission of the French citizens of Moroccan origin , in  this unique event. He paid tribute to the spirit of citizenship and belonging of the moroccans abroad to their country of origin.

M.Boussouf added that the Green March, should be an inspiration for people to resolve their difsputes peacefully. He also  strongly recalled the human character of the peaceful march initiated by HM Hassan II on the 6th november 1975.

Ms Adaoui, the Wali of Souss-Massa, said ; « the moroccans of the World are permanent ambassadors of Morocco ». She added that she is pleased to welcome members of the Moroccan community living abroad and foreign artists, to celebrate this event. The Wali also praised the work of the CCME and the activities carried out by the Council.
