The CCME meets a German medical delegation

The Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME) met on Wednesday 18 January 2017 at the Council in Rabat, a delegation of  German doctors from the association "Amana".

Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the CCME, said during his opening speech how proud he was that "the CCME contributed to the success of the medical caravan recently undertaken by this delegation in the Sahara region": " this is the confirmation that the human dimension has no borders ".

The Secretary general added that the diversity of this delegation, "leaded by German and Palestinian doctors, proves that the Moroccan community is fully integrated in Germany because she is able to bring together people of the German society for Humanitarian actions.

« This initiative in the sahara region reflects the commitment of the Moroccan community's sense of belonging to the world and its engagement to the issue of national sovereignty," said Mr Boussouf adding that " "Through these actions, the citizens of the moroccan sahara region are aware that their fellow citizens living aboad have a real human, social and political attachment to their country of origin.

Mr. Boussouf finally underlined that "the CCME fully understands its duty to work with any Moroccan association working towards the integration or any human cause".

For their part the members of the delegation expressed, unanimously, "the warmth of sharing and the generosity of the sahrawi population". Among the members of the medical association, a palestinian professor said that it was a « unique experience of sharing which allowed to see the greatness of this population of which I will surely be the ambassador wherever I go."

The association "Amana" was created in Germany in 2011 by Moroccan competences of Germany, to assist the integration and education. The majority of the members are doctors and their actions concern  mainly healthcare.

For this medical tour, 43 doctors from Germany, went to Laayoune, assisted by 8 doctors from Morocco who are also members of the the association in Morocco, founded one and a half year ago in Casablanca.

The members of the association intend to further strenghten their efforts to provide support to as many people as possible.
