The Council of the Moroccan Community living Abroad (CCME) received on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, 28 leaders of associations of African diasporas of Europe and Morocco to organize the forum of the youth of African diasporas from "Here and elsewhere" to be held from Friday 29 September to Sunday 1 October 2017.
The forum will be inspired from the strategic thrusts announced by His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the 29 th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa on 3 July 2017 who affirmed his certainty "that Africa can transform its challenges into genuine potential for development and stability that associative movements of African diasporas on the continent and elsewhere can only share and adhere to".
As a national consultative and foresight institution, the CCME provides human and financial resources for the appropriation by the actors of the African diasporas of their own tools of advocacy and mobilization for an Africa in movement at the service of its citizens.
The forum is expected to include the participation of 80 young African diaspora network leaders and 20 institutional guests from the continent.
Today, nearly 600 million Africans are young. By 2050, 400 million Africans will be between 15 and 24 years old. "
