The works of Leila Alaoui exposed at the gallery of the Hassan II Mosque of Casablanca

An exhibition of the works of the late artist Leila Alaoui will be exposed at the gallery of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca from October 5 to 20, 2017 . The exhibition is organized by the Leila Alaoui Foundation in partnership with the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the Foundation of the Hassan II Mosque.

The gallery of the Hassan II mosque will host the fragments of the pictural work of the late Leila Aloe  killed in a terrorist attack in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) last year.
The first exhibition named "Moroccans" is a series of photographic portraits made in a mobile studio that the artist carried around Morocco. While the second, "No pasara", is a drawn representation of young Moroccans who dream of a better life on the other side of the Mediterranean. On the sidelines of this exhibition, writing workshops organized by the Academy of Traditional Arts with a training institution for senior executives and researchers in the field of traditional arts which depends on the foundation of the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday 5th October at 7pm.
