Rabat : Conference on extremism, globalization and "post-narrative" History

«Extremism, globalization and post-narrative history », was the theme of the opening session of the first spring edition of the University of human sciences of Rabat. The Meeting took place on 22 April 2019 at the Education science Faculty (FSE).

During his speech Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary general of the Council of the Moroccan community living abroad (CCME) , rejected any link between migration and terrorism explaining that the History has shown the contribution of migration in its post war reconstruction of Europe.

Mr Boussouf welcomed these kind of meetings in Universities which are the most relevant spaces to debate these themes. He further explained that religions are essentially not violent and extremism and terrorism had no religion or nationality.

The meeting was moderated by the Deputy Dean of the FSE, Mr. Abdellatif Kidai and attended by the Vice President of Mohammed V University, Mr. Ismail Kassou, the Dean of the FSE, Mr. Abdelhanine Belhaj, Mr Khalid Ghazali professor of social studies on behalf of the Director of the University Center of Culture, Law and Religions of the Italian University of Eastern Piedmont, the Director of the Institute of Research and Graduate Studies of Granada, Mr. Mohammed Bensalah and Mr Stefano Allievi, director of the master's degree "religion, politics and citizenship" at the Italian University of Padua.
