Aomar Boum is a historian and anthropologist, currently a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a member of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco. Originally from Lamhamid, Foum Zguid, in the Tata province, a small Saharan community in southeastern Morocco, Aomar Boum holds the Maurice Amado Chair of Sephardic Studies in the Department of Anthropology, the Department of History, and the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA. Yassine El Aouak, born in Fès in 1991 and raised in Italy, is the founder and CEO of ParkingMyCar, established in 2018. This company operates in the urban mobility sector, providing a unified service to locate, search for, book, and pay for parking spaces at competitive rates in Italy and across Europe. He has held leadership positions for over ten years in multinational companies in the energy sector and the public sector. Previously, he founded four businesses in Italy, Morocco, and China.

Mohamed El Morabet, a writer and translator, was born in Al-Hoceima in 1983. He has lived in Madrid since 2002. He has published numerous articles in cultural magazines and newspapers. Un solar abandonado is his first novel, published in 2018 by Sitara. His second novel, El invierno de los jilgueros, published by Galaxia Gutenberg in 2022, won the XV Premio del Roman de Málaga.

Nora El Hourch, born in 1988 to a French mother and a Moroccan father, has been shaped by both cultures, which have influenced her worldview. Her short film A Few Seconds, selected for Cannes (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) in 2015, depicts the struggles of five girls in a women’s shelter in Paris as they work to overcome their past traumas. Sochepress éditions and the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) publish the book “رحمة : الطريق نحو حريتي ” (Rahma : the path to my freedom) by the Moroccan-dutch author Rahma El Mouden. The book, which has been translated from Dutch into Arabic, is available in Libraries and online book stores in Morocco and abroad, to make it more easily available to Moroccans throughout the world.
