The first round table of the CCME, was introduced by Mr Mustapha El Mourabit who said that thanks to their cultural legacy, the Moroccans living aboad, are creative, inspiring and known for their openness. He gave Spain as the most telling example, a country where the Moroccan community is part of Spain’s history.

15h00-17h00 The CCME inaugurates its participation in this 25th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair with the “Agora’s Meetings”. This inaugural meeting, whose topic is: “Moroccan culture beyond borders: realities and challenges”, will try to understand the foreign cultural actor’s view on the Moroccan culture in some countries of residence, through an institutional debate on the reality and prospects of Moroccan culture beyond borders. The attendants will try to examine how to develop the cultural production of the Moroccans living abroad, and strengthen Morocco’s receptiveness to their cultural productions. The prime minister, Mr Saad Eddine el Othman, opened the 25th edition of the Internatioal book fair ( SIEL) the 7th February 2019, held in Casablanca under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI.
Being Moroccan leads naturally to universalism. Because Moroccan culture is intrinsicaly multicultural and open to the broad world in which we live. The Moroccan cultural melting pot was a reality even before the United States. This Ph.D thesis seeks to analyse the role of Moroccan emigrants in the construction of Morocco brand as a tourist destination. To do so, firstly, this study proposes a conceptual model to understand the role of emigrant population in the construction of their places of origin’s brand. Secondly, it determines the key aspects of the role played by Moroccan emigrants living in Spain in the construction of the Morocco brand. Marrakech – HM King Mohammed VI sent a message, Monday 10 december 2018, to the Intergovernmental Conference on the Global Compact for Migration, which opened Monday in Marrakech.
The meeting conducted around the book “The state, role and place of Moroccans lliving abroad in the region of Souss-Massa” took place on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Agadir. The Conference is organized by the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), in partnership with the laboratories LARLANCO and LRMECSS of the Faculty of Humanities and Letters of the University Ibn Zohr of Agadir.
