More than 50 African civil society organizations and members of the continent Diaspora met on 28-29 August 2017 in Bamako to discuss the Global protocol on African  Migration.

Three Moroccan nationals were wounded in Barcelona’s terror attack that took place on Thursday, according to a Moroccan consular source in the Spanish city.

Following the terrorist bloody attack  of Thursday 17 August 2017 in Barcelona, ​​where a van driver right into the crowd  in the very busy avenue Las Ramblas, killing more than 13 people and injuring several people, the Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME) condemns this abominable terrorist act, which is an attack against the values ​​of living together, peace and security that have distinguished the city of Barcelona for centuries. 

The University of the belgium city of Liège organized,i in partnership with the UNESCO and the International Council for Philosophy and classic Studies, the World Conference of Humanities from 6 to 12 August in Liège (Belgium). The theme chosen was “Challenges and Responsibilities for A planet in transition “.

The Aghbal Association for Development and Solidarity (ADS) organized on August 3, 2017, in collaboration with the Dialogue Association in the Netherlands, the Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME) and the Canton of Midar, at the multidisciplinary complex of the city, the second meeting of Aghbal under the theme “the Rif at the heart of migration”.

The Moroccan community living abroad is a main contributor to the support of the national economy, said, the prime minister, Mr. Saâd Eddine El Othmani, on Tuesday 1st August 2017 in Rabat. The head of the government added that the Transfers of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) have grown steadily over the last two decades, reaching 62.2 billion dirhams, compared with 20 MMDH in 1990’s. El Othmani was answering to a question on “the public policy review of the Moroccan migrants” during the monthly session in the second chamber.

In accordance with the Article 100 of the Moroccan Constitution, the second Chamber holds a meeting on Tuesday, 1 August 2017, where the prime minister is questioned about public policies.
