Moroccan Culture beyond borders by Mr Abdellah Boussouf

The presence and engagement of the Council of the Moroccan community living abroad (CCME) at the international Casablanca Book fair (SIEL) has become a must.

During the past editions of this cultural event, the Council’s engagement has particularly focused on the thought process related to the realities of Moroccan immigration in western society. has been by the depth of the cerebrations on the Moroccan migration in western society.

We have tried to break down and analyse the challenges of living together in a plural and multicultural society and how this constitutes an effective asset through constructive discussions.

We tried to evaluate the challenges driven by identity-related and spiritual tensions in the countries of residence. We have, at the same time, invited members of the civil society and institutions to work together in an attempt to identify opportunities suggestions and sometimes even solutions.
The study of aspects related to Moroccan migration showed that the plural Moroccan identity is a main component of the integration of Moroccan communities in host countries.

The 25th edition of the international book fair dedicated to the Moroccan culture beyond borders, revisits its variety. And the CCME will try to increase its knowledge of the vitality and the challenges the Moroccan culture is facing. We will try to provide tools to Moroccans around the world that might contribute to the development of host societies while allowing Moroccan culture to take advantage of globalization.
The planning and programming of the CCME are but a reflection of the diversity and creativeness Moroccans living abroad.
We are looking forward to welcoming the public to our stand.
