The Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad is organising a collective exhibition entitled “Feminine Art and Migration” in Rabat from February 13 to March 12, at the Espace Rivages in the Foundation’s offices.

The vernissage, which will take place on Thursday 13 February, brings together artworks from three self-taught Moroccan artists, according to a press release from the Foundation.

The three artists are Amina Hamri, based in Germany, Nima Guitouni, in Canada, and Noura Mennani, who teaches plastic arts in Belgium.

Espace Rivages is hosting its first collective exhibition dedicated to female artists whose common ground is migration as well as art, and who all share a true passion for creative art, the statement adds.

Amina Hamri is a Tangiers native who was raised in a very artistic environment, which has had a significant influence on her work. Her paintings feature a fusion of Abstraction and Impressionism, while Brussels-based Noura Mennani frequently creates portraits, with a particular emphasis on femininity. Noura Mennani’s portraits are a vibrant celebration of femininity.

For her part, Nima Guitouni’s artistic approach reflects a personal search and ongoing exploration into new ways at expressing herself. She is inspired by nature, cultural diversity, emotions and everyday events.
