Seven institutions and bodies for the protection of rights and freedoms, good governance, human and sustainable development and participatory democracy issue a statement announcing the launch of the SIEL.

Rabat - Participants in the North Africa Regional Ministerial Conference, held Thursday 18th April by Morocco and Togo under the theme "Pan-Africanism and Migration", commended the role and strong commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in His capacity as Champion of the African Union on migration.

Under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the city of Oujda will host the 4th edition of the Maghreb Book Fair "Letters from the Maghreb" from 17 to 21 April 2024, under the theme "Writing and Time".

This regional event is being organized by the “Oriental” Development Agency, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Wilaya of the Eastern Region, the Regional Council, the Oujda Municipality, Mohammed Premier University, the Regional Academy of Education and Training, and the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Pre-school Education.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) was received, Wednesday 28 March 2024, by Ms Namira Negm, Director of the African Migration Observatory.

Mr Abdellah BOUSSOUF, the Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), hosted, on 5th February 2024, a meeting with an Italian delegation from the University of Rome III. The aim being to implement a framework for a Moroccan cultural institute within the Italian university.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and Mr Ricotti Paolo, President of Patronato ACLI (Italian workers' association), signed a partnership agreement in Rabat on Thursday 6 July 2023 to promote reciprocal knowledge and a cultural exchange between Morocco and Italy.

On Friday 9 June 2023, Mr Abdellah BOUSSOUF, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), gave a lecture at the Council's pavilion at the Rabat book fair, presenting the Encyclopedia "Moroccan Civilization, from Tangible to Intangible Heritage".

The Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organized a round-table discussion on Wednesday 7 June 2023 at the Book Fair in Rabat on the theme of "Moroccan culture in plural societies: the experiences of Moroccans in the Netherlands". Ilham Cherradi, decorator and influencer specialising in Moroccan table art, Nadia Zarouali, author of several books on Moroccan culinary art, Hanane El Ghazouani, community activist and designer of the "Nora's Bags" handbag brand, and Hassan El Ammouri, urban planner and artist, President of the Arte Ganza Foundation (House of World Culture, Art and Creation), took part in this meeting moderated by Mr Jaouad Achakouri, Doctor of Comparative Studies in Islamic Jurisprudence and CCME representative.

On Tuesday 5 June 2023 the CCME pavilion at the Rabat Book Fair, hosted a round-table discussion on the " representations of Moroccan values among young Moroccans around the world ". Ms Nour ZIRAT, female politician and head of the office of the Member of Parliament for Westmount-Saint-Louis (Canada), Ms Hajar OUAHBI, journalist at France 24 (France) and Hiba EL AIDI, law student at the University of Montreal, in professional training at the Quebec Bar School, took part in this meeting moderated by Ms Ghislaine El Abid from the CCME.

On Sunday 4th June 2023, the Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organized a round-table at the Rabat Book Fair on "Moroccan genius in architecture, sociology and thought". Mr. Boujemaa El AOUFI, university professor, writer and poet, and Mr. Mohammed CHEIKH, professor, answered questions from Ms Jamila TILOUT, professor at Mohammed V University in Rabat.
