Translation of the Novel “Le Ciel sans detours” by Kebir Mustapha Ammi into Arabic

The Dar Al-Aman publishing house in the city of Rabat has recently published a translation into Arabic of “Le Ciel sans detours” (Gallimard), a novel by the French-Moroccan novelist and poet Kebir Mustapha Kébir Ammi, originally published in French in 2007.

The novel, which features a painting by Jacques Paris on its cover, was carried out by poet and translator Abderrahim Hozal.

The story: Fadila is an independent and courageous woman whose journey is closely linked to the history of Morocco from the early days of the French occupation to the 1990s. Despite all the hardships she endured, she never gave up.

Kebir Mustapha Ammi is the author of several works on the theme of multiculturalism and open-mindedness. He notably wrote “Partage du monde” (1999), “Fille du vent” (2002) and “Evocation de Hallaj” (2003), “Sur les traces d'Augustin” (2007), “Vertus sales” (2009), “Mardoshi” (2011), and his latest novel “À la recherche des paillettes Faraday” (2023), published under the title “In Search of Glitter Faraday”.
