The 11th edition of the festival “Cinema and migrations” will take place from 11 to 15 November in Agadir, says the Association: Cultural Initiative, initiator of this event under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.

The feature film jury will be chaired by Yamina Bengugui, director, producer and former Minister Delegate in charge of the French foreigners and Francophonie, while the poet, novelist and associative actor Moroccan Salah El Ouadie chair the jury for short films.

Ten feature films from different countries and different artistic sensibilities will compete for the price "Argana" of the festival, which will also be marked by the screening of 12 short films in collaboration with the University Ibn Zuhr Agadir.

Besides the films, this edition includes a series of parallel activities, including seminars and conferences, training workshops in cinema and sessions for children, plus a panorama of Amazigh Films and tributes to film professionals in recognition for their contribution to the cultural thing.

The Grand Prix of the festival called Argana was rewarded in the previous edition of the Film Festival to the movie "The canoe" by Senegalese director Moussa Toure.
