On the sidelines of the Casablanca Book Fair, which runs until 22 february, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad in the person of its Secretary General, Mr .Abdelah Boussouf and the chairman of the Abdelmalek Saadi university in Tetouan Mr. Mohammed Saad Zemmouri proceeded to the signing of a partnership agreement which aims to put the foundation for a scientific and academic cooperation on the issue of immigration.
The agreement provides for the contribution of both parties in the preparation and dissemination of sound scientific studies that focus on immigration, especially Moroccan immigration and contribute to the supervision and training of Moroccans living overseas on scientific and religious issues in order to ensure their integration into the host countries and their coexistence with its citizens while maintaining their religious identity, language and culture.
Both parties undertake thereby to prepare literary, historical and social studies that will then be translated into the languages of the host country in accordance with the aspirations of the Moroccan community living abroad.
In addition to this, they are set to publish scientific theses and studies related to migration and highlight the challenges facing the Moroccan community abroad.
An approach meant to promote openness and tolerance while just everywhere rampant speeches that reflect cultural and religious tensions are on the rise at an alarming speed.
