Arles -France: Moroccan Cultural Week in preparation.

Thursday, 26 February 2015

The association "For the French-Moroccan friendship" will organize in partnership with the Embassy of Morocco in France, Royal Air Morocco, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad and the City of Arles, a Moroccan Cultural Week.

The event, scheduled for May, which is a first in Arles, will be dedicated not only to the art (film, music, poetry, visual arts ...) but also to the culinary flavors and scents and other aspects that relate to the world of fashion.

"All in an exhilarating Moroccan atmosphere with oriental rhythms and bright colors," say the organizers. "The Moroccan week was designed to promote cultural exchange and to make a bridge between the French and Moroccan cultures. We wish to allow the different communities of Arles and its surroundings to meet but also to discover each other, "says Driss Bouhaja, president of the Association initiator of the event

Celebrating the richness and diversity of contemporary Morocco, which has blended, in harmony, various cultures, civilizations and spiritualities, the Moroccan Cultural Week will, according to organizers, deepen and further enrich the partnership relations that fall in the dynamics of the deep friendship between Morocco and France.

Debates, exhibitions, concerts, a craft market, cooking classes and cultural events are scheduled in the presence of renowned writers such as Abdellatif Laabi and Mohamed Bennis. In addition, three Moroccan artists will take part in this event to present their work around femininity in Morocco.
