In a recent book published by "The Points On The I" Claire Champenois, French journalist and Catherine Bendayan, Franco-Moroccan photojournalist, give voice to 17 French women of Arab origin who recount their childhood courses to fame.

"Free, rebellious and daring! "traces back the journey of these women who" reveal their inner struggle to manage two cultures, their efforts to study and their endeavors to reach the top.

Obviously it took them more talent than anything, "says a presentation of the publisher.

Najat Vallaud-Belkacem (Minister), Rachida Dati (mayor and MEP), Amel Brahim-Djelloul (soprano), Samia Ghali (Senator mayor), Meriem Chadid (astronomer), Zahia Ziouani (Orchestra conductor) Zohra Mahi (Lawyer ) and 9 other famous women born of Arab parents, answer the question: how to free itself from its original environment, and undermine stereotypes to become true to yourself and be part of the elite of your country?

This portraits collection challenges the Western clichés: it reinforces the benefits of crossbreeding and openness. "It reflects a reality: the future does not happen without these free, rebellious and daring women. Pioneering they serve as role models for younger generations ".
