5,565 Moroccans Reside in Tunisia

According to the General Census of Population and Housing conducted in Tunisia for the year 2014, “the number of Moroccans living in Tunisia has reached 5,565 out of 24,841 people from the Maghreb region."

The North African Community established in Tunisia is divided between Libyans 8772, 9996 Algerians, Moroccans and 5565 508 Mauritanians, said the Tunisian National Institute of Statistics (INS), during a press conference Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Regarding the Non –Maghreb Arab nationals settled in Tunisia, Egyptians are in the lead with 1,093 people, followed by the Syrians (1024) and Iraqis (550).

The number of EU citizens resident in the North African countries amounts to 15,000 including 8,284 French, 2,118 Italians and 1,393 Germans.
