"Beyond the Rif and Ruhr: 50 years of Moroccan immigration in Germany," is the title of a collective work, published by the German publishing house "Springer" and produced by the network of Moroccan skills in Germany, on the occasion of the celebration of half a century of Moroccan history of immigration in this country.

The book resulted from the cooperation between the Institute for Research on Migration and Intercultural Studies at the University of Osnabrück in Germany and the network of Moroccan skills in Germany, with the support of the Embassy of Morocco in Berlin and the Foundation Hassan II for Moroccans Living Abroad.

The book of 315 pages contains a copy of the Moroccan-German agreement on recruitment signed in 1963. The document is intended to fill gaps in scientific research on Moroccan migrants in Germany, and showcase their multiple potentials and learn about their living conditions.

The book is divided according to 5 axis;"the historical perspective on the different stages of the waves of the Moroccan immigration to Germany", "different dimensions of integration", "the importance of language and changes and interaction in the migrant community”, "representations of immigration in the literature, "" expressions transiting borders both in their relation to the transfer of experience and knowledge and about the socio –economic relations ".

Directed by researchers and experts in the field of immigration, the book sheds light on the particular life of Moroccans living in Germany, the impact of migration on German society, while addressing the critical shortage of scientific research on Moroccan migrants in Germany, calling to give them more interest and encourage researchers to address the multifaceted Moroccan immigration in this country.
