The 4th edition of the Mediterranean Festival: “Cinema and Immigration” takes place in Oujda

The Solidarity Development Association and immigration organizes from May 7 to 10 in Oujda, the 4th edition of the Mediterranean Festival, cinema and immigration, an opportunity for film lovers to attend screenings of new films on this subject.

This cultural event, held in collaboration with a range of partners, is in the wake of the introduction of the new Moroccan migration policy initiated by HM King Mohammed VI and goes together with the objectives of the association to promote cinema in the region, according to organizers.

The program for this event includes the screening of a selection of films, namely "Jewels of sadness" by director Mohamed Nabil, "Aria Delma" Ahmed Baidou, "Between the two banks" Hicham Mlayou, "Image" director Adil Elarbi, "the Andalusian" by Algerian director Mohamed Chouikh and "Night on the Sea" by French director Marc Scialom.

The festival wil hold a prize distribution ceremony. A discussion meeting on "cinema and music" is also scheduled along with workshops on the "image" and "realization" supervised by Moroccan directors Driss Kouri and Laila Triki.

The Mediterranean Film Festival will be marked by the participation of intellectuals, leaders, artists and Moroccan and foreign actors of renown, and will be a shared space with the various public and private stakeholders and civil society actors in the areas of civil rights and immigration.
