Final adjustments to the port of Motril (Granada) are being made for the launch of the Transit operation 2015. The President of the Port Authority of Motril, Francisco Alvarez de la Chica, and Morocco consul in Almería, Sellam Berrada, held a meeting in the port of Motril to prepare the next operation Transit (June 15 to September 15) for Moroccan expats.
At the meeting, they reviewed the port facilities and improvements to be made. The summer operation will be held in two phases: the coming to Morocco will take place from 15 June to 15 August and the return from 15 July to 15 September.
This year, the peak days are expected to happen between July 25 and August 4, after the last week of the Holy month of Ramadan. For the return phase, the peak will take place from 27 until 30 August.
Last year, over 220 000 people passed through the port of Motril during the transit operation.
