Mobile consulate to assist the Moroccan community in Mozambique

Tuesday, 09 June 2015

Morocco's embassy in Pretoria set up on the past weekend a mobile consulate in favor of the Moroccan community in Mozambique.

This operation, which was held in the Mozambican capital Maputo, has drawn particular enthusiasm among the Moroccan community especially as this is the first time that such initiative is organized in this country.

On this occasion, nearly 500 Moroccan nationals established in Maputo and other Mozambique cities benefited from various consular services including registration in the register of civil status and issuance of biometric passports and IDs.

This mobile consulate services were also competent in issuing visas for Mozambican nationals wishing to travel to Morocco.

The initiative is in line with the High Royal directives to better serve Moroccan citizens abroad, said Rachid Agassim, PR of the Embassy of Morocco in Pretoria.

Morocco's embassy in Pretoria had previously organized mobile consulates in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa.
