Strasbourg: End of the consular services of proximity for the Moroccan community in Verdun

Monday, 15 June 2015

The Consulate General of Morocco in Strasbourg ended Saturday in Verdun, historic town of Lorraine, the process of local services, launched on April 25 to members of the Moroccan community.

Indeed, thanks to the mobilization of the consular staff every Saturday since April 25, Moroccan nationals established in the Strasbourg consular district covering the Alsace, Lorraine and Belfort, have received wide range of administrative services and counseling by representatives of the administration of the kingdom.

Before Verdan, teams of this mobile consulate went by Nancy, Metz, Mulhouse, Epinal, Belfort, Longwy then Behren-Les-Forbach. Over four thousand services were provided during these stages, some of which were also marked by meetings with Moroccan association leaders and actors or by cultural events organized by local Moroccan associations.

Worth mentioning; a consular team went Nancy to the home of a quadriplegic Moroccan national who needed his national identity card. This humanitarian gesture was one of many during this process promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to attend to members of the Moroccan community abroad.
