Abu Dhabi : Moroccan heritage at the UAE National Day

Under the High Patronage of H.M. King Mohammed VI and H.H. Cheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirate's (UAE) capital, hosts from 4 to 11 December, 2015, the exhibition “Moroccan Heritage Week”. It is held at the National Exhibition Center and “Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club”.

The Ministry of the Royal House, Protocol and Chancellery announced on Monday December 1st , 2015, that H.M. King Mohammed VI pays a friendship and work visit to the UAE state, on the occasion of the Moroccan Week in Abu Dhabi, as of December 2nd, 2015.

This event, which coincides with the celebrations of the 44th anniversary of the UAE’s National Day, aims at “fostering the strong ties between the two peoples. In addition to participating with the UAE in the commemoration of the establishment of the Union, as well as increasing the awareness of the Emirati people about the rich Moroccan culture and heritage, as a fundamental component of the Moroccan identity and Civilization.”

According to the UAE’s News Agency, “the Moroccan Heritage Week” is held “to strengthen the historical close ties between the two countries in the political, economic, media, scientific, tourism and cultural fields.”

The program of the “Moroccan Heritage Week” will comprise three parts. The first part is dedicated to the history of Moroccan art (exhibition of works of Moroccan heritage), and the second is dedicated to several Moroccan cultural activities. The third part will be held in “Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club”; it will be dedicated to Moroccan horsemanship, with particularly the organization of several Fantasias.
