Ivory Coast mass Shooting: HM the King Holds phone call with Ivorian President

"Following the shooting incident on Sunday in the seaside resort of Grand Bassam in Cote d'Ivoire, HM King Mohammed VI held a phone conversation with Alassan Ouattara, President the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, in which the sovereign expressed to the Ivorian President His sincere condolences and deep compassion”, HM the King’s Office said in a statement.

"HM the King condemned in the strongest terms these heinous terrorist acts and expressed to President Ouattara the total solidarity and firm support of the Kingdom of Morocco to the brotherly Ivorian people”, the statement added.

In this context, "HM the King proposed to President Ouattara Alassan sending a team of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (known by its French acronym BCIJ) to Côte d’Ivoire to support Ivorian authorities in the investigations they are undertaking into these terrorist acts”, stressing that “the Ivorian President has welcomed this proposal and expressed his sincere thanks to HM the King”.
