His Majesty the King Mohammed VI appointed on Monday 10 october 2016, Mr Abdelilah Benkirane, the leader of the Party of Justice and developement (PJD). The conservative political party won last week's parliamentary elections.
"His Majesty King Mohammed VI has appointed Mr Benkirane prime minister and tasked him with forming a new government," said a statement of the Royal statement from the Ministry of the Royal Protocol and Chancellery.
The new Prime minister’s mission is forming a new government.
