The CCME strongly condemns the Barcelona terrorist attack

Following the terrorist bloody attack  of Thursday 17 August 2017 in Barcelona, ​​where a van driver right into the crowd  in the very busy avenue Las Ramblas, killing more than 13 people and injuring several people, the Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME) condemns this abominable terrorist act, which is an attack against the values ​​of living together, peace and security that have distinguished the city of Barcelona for centuries. 

The CCME presents its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, to the Spanish State and the city of Barcelona known for its openness to cultures and religions. 

In these painful circumstances, the CCME appeals the members of the Moroccan community to condemn violence and hatred, to reject terrorism and extremism and to intensify their efforts to defy the destructive ideologies which spread feelings of fear and hatred in societies.
