HM the King Extends Condolences to King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia Over Barcelona Terrorist Attack

HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences to King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia following the terrorist attack that hit a tourist area downtown Bacelona.

In this message, the sovereign said he was deeply saddened to learn the news of the despicable terrorist attack that targeted a tourist area downtown Bacelona which claimed the lives of many, and strongly condemned it.

The sovereign expressed to Spain's King the Kingdom of Morocco's firm condemnation of this appalling criminal act, which runs counter all human values and religious precepts, and which undermined the security and stability of a neighbouring and friendly country.

HM the King extended to King Felipe VI, the victims' families and the Spanish people his heartfelt condolences, solidarity and compassion, Praying God to give the bereaved families patience and comfort, and swift recovery to the wounded.

The sovereign voiced Morocco's full solidarity with the friendly country of Spain, and its total commitment to international efforts seeking to address the plague of terrorism and eradicate it.
