Morocco is one of the eight countries taking part in the joint initiative on Immigration and Development countries. The program is funded by the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (9.5 million USD) and implemented by the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) in collaboration with the International Organization migration (IOM) and other international agencies.

Despite the decline in the financials transfers of the Moroccans abroad ( MRE)due to the economic crisis, these transfers contributed to "maintain the financial balance of Morocco during the Year 2013" according to a Memorandum issued by the World Bank on the monitoring role of migrant remittances in the economic growth of their countries of origin.

Morocco expressed in a press communiqué its deep disappointment and rejection of any upcoming decision of the Netherlands to revoke the Convention on social security with Morocco.

King Mohammed VI delivered a speech before both houses of the parliament on Friday at the opening of the first session of the fourth legislative year of the 9th legislature.

Morocco's ambassador to France, Chakib Benmoussa, proceded on behalf of his majesty King Mohammed VI on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Paris, to the decoration with Wissam Al Arch of the order of Chevalier, of Mr Gabriel Malka, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery, and Mr Said El Asri, who distinguished himself in the field of restaurants and hotels in France.

In attendance were Mr. André Azoulay, Advisor to His Majesty the King, and other Moroccan and French personalities from diverse backgrounds.

Mr Benmoussa said that these royal honors are a tribute to exceptional careers and undeniable professional and human qualities and are a celebration of the success of these two Moroccans in France, working in two different and complex areas.
