Goul-AI

The first 100% Moroccans of the world chatbot

CCME launched its new virtual intelligent assistant “Goul-AI” (tell me), an interactive multilingual chatbot that can be asked questions and respond in different languages to questions specific to Moroccans of the world. This digital service offers clear, up-to-date and real time responses to the most frequently asked questions posed by members of the Moroccan community abroad.

EU: First annual European report on asylum and migration 

 Published on November 11, 2025, a report on the migratory tendencies in the European Union (EU) paints an overall picture of the situation regarding asylum, migration and reception in the EU and records the potential evolutions in the year ahead.

 

EU: The launch of a platform to recruit extra-European ‘talents’.

The European council and parliament launched a platform called ‘EU Talent Pool’ to facilitate international recruitment in the sectors where member states of the EU are experiencing labor shortages. Read the press release


France: Economic and social insecurity of female migrants. 

On the international day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25), several associations noted the invisibility of violence experienced by exiled women in France. Read the article


United Kingdom- Redesign of the immigration system 

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, the British government launched the biggest overhaul of the country’s immigration system in nearly half a century, including stricter rules governing access to permanent residency. Read the article

The weekly Telquel published an article on the Anthology of Moroccan writers of Emigration, an edition enriched with a literary overview by Salim Jay. A co-publication of the CCME and of La Croisée des Chemins. Read the article


HCP report: Foreign residents in Morocco

The High Planning Commission (HCP) published a report on foreign residents in Morocco. The work is based on the 2024 general population and housing census (RGPH 2024). Read the report

 

Québec: Amendments to immigration regulations in Quebec

The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship modified the Quebec immigration regulations, notably by adding French language proficiency requirements for temporary foreign workers, clarifying the conditions for guardians of unaccompanied minor foreign students and by increasing the financial resources required of international students. Official Gazette of Quebec

  • Ghita El Khyari’s debut novel, The Negotiator, tells the story of Alya, a UN diplomat caught between international issues and personal dilemmas in a novel blending politics, strategy and humanity. 274 pages.


  • A website dedicated to the publication Between two shores, Morocco-Belgium, parallel histories, intertwined destinies by Hassan Boucetta is now online https://entredeuxrives.be/. This publication was conceived following the commemorations of the 60th anniversary of the Belgian-Moroccan labor agreement and co-edited by the CCME and Maha Editions, 268 pages.


  • The French academy awarded the Franco-Moroccan researcher and academic Mehdi Ghouirgate the prize for the best literary biography of 2025 recognizing his work lbn Khaldoun: parcours d’un penseur maghrébin (Ibn Khaldūn, the journey of a Moroccan thinker) published by CNRS editions (285 pages) and presented by the CCME in April, 2025 at the Rabat international book fair.


  • Champions de Football d’Afrique (Champions of African Football) is the title of a book published in Dutch by the journalist Mustapha Esadik. This 240 page book, published by Walburg Pers explores African football through its political, social and historical dimensions.


  • The essay Évocation d’un mémorial à Venise (Evocation of a memorial by Khalid Lyamlahi has just been published in Romanian translated by Alexandra Ionel, Casa Cărţii de Štiinţă, 170 pages.

Rabat: Visa for music welcomes Moroccan artists from around the world 

The CCME supported the 12th edition of Visa for Music which showcased several groups of Moroccan artists from around the world, including Omar & the Eastern Power (Morocco - South Korea); Nashwa (Morocco-Belgium); Aza (Morocco-USA); Sami Galbi (Morocco-Switzerland); Elements of Baraka (Morocco-France); Aziz Konkrite (Morocco-France) and Yasmina Karrum (Morocco-Spain). Visa for music was held from November 20 to 23, 2025 in Rabat, jointly organized by Anya and the Atlas Azawan Association, the Hiba Foundation and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication.


Montreal: The CCME, partnered with the CINEMANIA film festival

The CCME supported and participated in the 31st edition of the CINEMANIA festival, held in Montreal from November 4 to 16, 2025, where Morocco was the guest of honor.  The festival presented several film premieres (L’Héritier des secrets (The Heir of Secrets), On sera heureux (We Will be Happy), Rue Málaga, Bouchra, Sirāt, 13 jours (13 days), and Badh).

Women’s filmmaking was central, with a selection of films directed by women or highlighting female characters (Une porte sur le ciel -A door in the sky-, Rock the Casbah, Animalia, Mica, Les Meutes -The Packs-, Volubilis, Retour à Bollène -Return to Bollène-], and a joint exhibition by Sofia Alaoui and Sofia El Khyari (Metamorphoses and Allegorical Writings). Finally, the festival presented a selection of short films (Ayam, La Voix du state, Frères de lait, Le Départ, Qu’importe si les bêtes meurent and L’Ombre des papillons), and hosted a soirée with a concert by La Bronze (aka Nadia Essadiqi). Professional workshops bringing together filmmakers, institutions, and key players in the Quebec film industry also took place. Read more

December 18 through 20, 2025, Fès

The CCME supports and participates in the international seminar “Moroccan Cinema: Challenges and Commitments.” Participants include Moroccans from the United University of Massachusetts), Yahya Laayouni (University of Pennsylvania), Jonas Elbousty (Yale University), and Mohammed Hirchi (Colorado State University). This event is organized by the Laboratory of Sociological, Cultural, and Philosophical Studies, Facutly of Arts and Humanities, Dhar El Mahraz, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and the Moroccan Association of Film Critics (AMCC).

December 8 through 13, 2025, Agadir

The CCME supports the 21st edition of the film and migration festival in Agadir.

December 11, 2025, Rabat

Mr. El Yazami will participate in the closing seminar of the AGIR-TOUDERT project (2023-2025), organized by the Migrations & Development association (M&D) on the occasion of International Mountain day under the theme: “Mountain communities, actors of Moroccan biocultural diversity”.
