We were deeply saddened by the death, on Friday 9 September 2022, of Mr Moulay El Mehdi IDRISSI ZINI, a member of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) in the " Culture, Education and Identities " working group.

Rabat - HM King Mohammed VI, on Saturday 20 August, delivered a speech to the Nation on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and Mr Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, President of Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency, inaugurated on Wednesday 27 July 2022 in Rabat, the exhibition "Al Qods and Palestine in the Correspondences and Speeches of the Commander of the Faithful".

Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) chaired, on Monday 25 July 2022 at the Council's headquarters in Rabat, a consultation meeting to address the issue of the participation of Moroccan medical skills abroad in the development of the healthcare system in Morocco. This encounter, attended by several Moroccan doctors and professors from various countries, was held within the framework of the dynamics of the national healthcare project under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reflecting the framework law presented by the Minister of Health and Social Protection on the national healthcare system.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Commander of the Faithful, may God assist him, chaired on Wednesday 13 July 2022 a Council of Ministers whose agenda included the submission to His Majesty by the Interior Minister on the measures prepared in accordance with the High Royal Instructions on the establishment of the Commission for the Moroccan Jewish community Abroad.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, chaired a Council of Ministers on Wednesday 13 July 2022 at the Royal Palace in Rabat, during which two framework legislation bills were adopted, including a framework bill submitted by the Minister of Health and Social Protection on the national healthcare system, which was designed, in accordance with the High Royal Instructions, to review the national healthcare system and ensure that it is in line with the generalization of the social protection system ordered by the King.

The CCME and the UAB have signed a scientific cooperation agreement in the domain of immigration issues in Barcelona, within the framework of their academic partnership in the field of scientific research on Moroccan immigration issues. On Wednesday 23 June 2022, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) signed an agreement at the headquarters of the University in Barcelona.

The agreement has been signed by Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the CCME and Mr. Francisco Javier Lafuente Sancho, President of the UAB.

The purpose of this partnership between the two institutions is to encourage research on migration issues, and organise exchanges (colloquia, seminars, study days, etc…) as well as research activities on subjects of common interest.

Apart from the Secretary General of the CCME and the Rector of the UAB, the ceremony of signature of this agreement was attended by Ms. Amparo Huertas Bailén from the University of Barcelona and Mr. Mohamed Saibari of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, who will ensure the monitoring of the agreement's implementation and the coordinating of the activities scheduled within this agreement, as well as the vice-rector for international relations and the adviser for international institutional relations at the UAB.

The panelists were Mr Tarik Oumazzane, professor of history and international relations at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, Ms Hanane Abouhakim, Ph.D. in chemical and process engineering and research associate at Buckinghamshire University in the United Kingdom,Mr Hamza Taouzzale, mayor of Westminster in London and holder of a Master's degree in political science, and Mr Khalid Lyamlahy, an Engineer and PhD in Medieval and Modern Languages from Oxford University as well as a Professor at the University of Chicago, hosted the event and answered questions from Ms Souad Talsi, a member of the CCME in Britain and founder of the Al-Hassaniya Center based in London.
